Macports Subversion 1.7 install on Lion: Java fHaiL

I updated subclipse to 1.8.x, and *thought* I updated subversion to 1.7 using macports. Turns out macports does update the subversion client to 1.7.2, but JavaHL was throwing errors in eclipse, so something is smelly. The magic of StackOverflow led me to this binary, wich works great: http://www.ubersvn.com/download

…and here’s a more elegant solution, duh: http://widerin.org/blog/using-svn-1.7-in-eclipse-on-mac-os-x-lion

  1. (One year later…) I have ditched MacPorts and use HomeBrew (http://brew.sh/). I prefer HomeBrew’s approach to package management in my filesystem. All the executables are stored in a special folder and symlinks are added to my /usr/local/bin (or other standard PATH, I don’t recall).
